20th Century Jewish History and the Holocaust in the Western Balkans

The professional development seminar for Serbian teachers took palce on May 29-30, 2021 in Belgrade and was attended by 31 partcipants. The topic of the semianr was "20th Century Jewish History and the Holocaust in the Western Balkans". The seminar was organized with the following goals in mind:

• to encourage educators from the Western Balkans to work across borders, with their neighbors, to promote Holocaust and Tolerance education
• to deepen the knowledge of these educators on 20th century Jewish history and the history of the Holocaust, through lectures, an exhibition and films
• to have seminar participants develop lesson plans based on these materials.
