About the Event

Whether you’re new to teaching about the Holocaust or experienced, Centropa’s stories of Sephardic Jews in the Balkans—whose ancestors originally came from Spain in 1492 after being expelled by Catholic rulers Queen Isabel and King Ferdinand—will engage your students and enable you to explore the history of the Holocaust in new ways.

Teachers experienced in teaching about the Holocaust will appreciate learning about the experiences of Jews in the former Yugoslavia, Turkey, and Greece, and those new to teaching this subject will discover primary and secondary sources you can use for long-term projects or quick activities. All will return to classes with ready-made lessons, activities, and projects to use in class with your students.

March 29th, 2022, 7:00pm Eastern Time

Registration link coming soon.
